Snake Automatic Partitioning
SNAP is an operator-assisted segmentation tool for volumetric image data using 3-D level set evolution. The tool provides the choice between a region-probability snake (competition snake) and a propagation snake stopping at region discontinuities. SNAP has been developed on top of the interactive segmentation tool IRIS (see IRIS2000 manual) and offers its full functionality (viewing three orthogonal planes, region of interest painting, 3-D visualization of segmented models, linked cursor between 3D graphics and 2-D slices, save of segmented ROIs as volumetric image data).
