A search string consists of one or more space-separated words.  Placing a "+" before a word
means every record in the output must include it.  Placing a "-" before a word, causes records
matching that word to be omitted from the output.  Subject to these constraints, the output will
contain citations matching any of the words with neither symbol.  The first word may have a "-",
but may not be prefixed by a "+".
